How to get a document notarized in 5 easy steps:

  1. Find a Notary Public (Oak Notary will be your Notary Public).
  2. Figure out what KIND of notarization is needed.
  3. (You either need to have a signature verified (an Acknowledgement) or have a sworn/affirmed statement and signature verified (a Jurat)).
  4. Bring a currently valid, government-issued, picture ID to the appointment. (It can be as driver license, a State ID, passport or another approved photo ID.
