David was first commissioned as a Notary Public in Bakersfield in 2009 and his current commission runs until October 31, 2029. As side work, he started his own notary business, The Traveling Notary, which, in 2016, became part of Oak Business Services and Notary. Now, in 2026, it’s Oak Notary.
Oak Notary, as a mobile notary service, covers all of San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County, as far south as Orcutt. The motto of Oak Notary is “We Bring the Notary to YOU”. Documents can be notarized in your home, office or even a coffee shop if that’s where you want to meet. Service rates are reasonable and it’s easy to set up an appointment. The service is by appointment only. No same-day appointments are allowed.
